Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 2026
HealthNudge respects your privacy. This page explains in plain language what information we collect when you visit our website, how we use it, who we share it with, and what choices you have. We have tried to write this without legal jargon so it is actually useful to you.
📋 Quick Navigation
1. Information We Collect
We collect two types of information: information you provide to us directly, and information that is collected automatically when you visit our site.
Information You Give Us
- Email contact: If you email us directly or sign up for our newsletter, we receive your email address and whatever you write to us.
- Comments and feedback: If we add a comment feature in the future, we will receive what you submit.
Information Collected Automatically
- Your IP address, approximate geographic location, and device type
- The browser and operating system you use
- Which pages you visit, how long you spend on them, and how you got to our site (referring website)
- Search terms used on our site
- Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 3)
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate and improve HealthNudge — including understanding which content readers find useful
- Respond to your emails, questions, and feedback
- Send our newsletter to people who have subscribed (you can unsubscribe at any time)
- Detect and prevent fraud, spam, abuse, or security issues
- Comply with legal obligations when required by law
What we do NOT do: We do not sell your personal information to anyone. We do not share your data with advertisers as part of a transaction. We do not build profiles about you to target ads off our site.
3. Cookies and Tracking
Cookies are small files stored on your device that help websites function and remember your preferences. We use cookies for:
- Essential cookies — required for the site to work (you cannot disable these without breaking functionality)
- Analytics cookies — help us understand how people use our site so we can improve it
- Advertising cookies — used by Google AdSense and other advertising partners (see Section 5)
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you reject all cookies, accept only certain types, or be notified when cookies are placed. Refer to your browser's help documentation for instructions.
4. Third-Party Services We Use
HealthNudge uses several third-party services to operate. Each of these services has its own privacy policy, and your data may be processed under their terms:
- Google Analytics — to understand site usage and improve our content
- Google AdSense — to serve advertisements (see Section 5)
- Cloud hosting provider — to deliver the site to your browser
- Email service provider — to send newsletters and respond to inquiries
We choose vendors with strong privacy practices, but we cannot control how they operate. We recommend reviewing their privacy policies if you have specific concerns.
5. Advertising
HealthNudge displays advertisements served by Google AdSense and potentially other advertising networks. These networks use cookies and similar technologies to show you ads based on your interests and previous browsing behaviour.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to HealthNudge and other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising by:
- Visiting Google Ads Settings to control Google's advertising
- Visiting aboutads.info/choices to opt out of personalised advertising from many networks
- Adjusting your browser settings to block third-party cookies
6. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have specific legal rights regarding your personal data, including:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate information
- Deletion — request that we delete your personal data
- Opt-out — unsubscribe from emails or opt out of analytics/advertising tracking
- Data portability — request your data in a portable format
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@healthnudge.online. We will respond within 30 days.
7. Children's Privacy
HealthNudge is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in some jurisdictions). If we discover that a child has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us.
8. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure hosting, and access controls to protect data. However, no system is perfectly secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you transmit information at your own risk. If we ever discover a data breach affecting your information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be noted on our homepage for a reasonable period. By continuing to use HealthNudge after changes are posted, you accept the updated policy.
